More About Caledon Hatchery:
Caledon Hatchery started in March 2007 when it was decided by the Elgin Free Range Group to rather hatch their own day-old chicks for the broiler farms than to rely on outside suppliers. Thereby ensuring that the quality of chicks meet the standards as set by Elgin Free Range Chickens.

The company started with the hatchery site in Caledon (2007) but later expanded into breeding with a breeder laying site situated in Grabouw (2008), and a  breeder rearing site (2012) and breeder laying site (2016) based in Stormsvlei.

Through continuous expansions Caledon Hatchery has been able to keep up with the demand of Elgin Free Range Chickens and also being able to provide to other regular customers based in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape.
